Challenge

Airbnb wished to build experiences with social elements on its platform for tourists but NGOs lack the expertise and ideas for designing the experience.

How ImpactX helped

ImpactX stepped in and recruited a number of university students and equipped them on design thinking and experience design skills. They were matched to NGOs to design and conduct experience activities for tourists from Airbnb’s platform.

Results

ImpactX successfully helped Airbnb to create social impact through aligning all parties and applying design thinking skills.

The good lab

Social Innovative Tour on Youth

Challenge

The Good Lab looked ways for its members to understand and know more about youth in Hong Kong as a whole.

How ImpactX helped

Impact X designed and conducted a walking tour at Jordan about the youth-lead social innovation project. Impact X also visited Christian Action to learn about young ethnic minorities, Trial & Error Lab to learn about young makers, talked with young founder of Hide and Seek Tour, etc.

Results

Participants of The Good Lab member were able to understand fully on Hong Kong youth.

Design Thinking Workshop for Hackathon

Challenge

PolyU hopes to facilitate the idea generation of participants in Green Hackathon^ where they create social impact through promoting consumer awareness on environmental protection in retail stores.

How ImpactX helped

ImpactX conducted a design thinking workshop for about 100 participants to equip them ways of generating innovative and feasible ideas with design thinking within limited time.
